When was the last time you bought a football programme?

Apart from the tourists who buy one to go with their half and half scarvevs and buckets of popcorn, does anyone actually buy them these days? It always used to be part of the ritual of going to a football match, but I can't remember buying one for years, though I did use to like getting Over Land and Sea. I dread to think what it costs now to buy an 'offical matchday magazine' to go with the overall 'football experience'. Sometimes I feel like vomiting when talking about modern day football!

If you downloaded the app you could preview the first 6 or 7 pages, that had the Managers notes and the Word from the Captain pages. TBH even when I could get that for free I rarely used to bother.
I dont know whether the overriding factor is apathy towards the club or general tight-waddery, but I havent bought a real programme since the last night at The Boleyn.

Haven't bought one since we moved to the bowl as due to West Ham fucking up the seat moves I had to upgrade to a 1966 seat so now get a "free" programme and a padded seat.....whoopie fucking doo.

Last game at Boleyn got both official one, used to get OLAS now and again, I concede I was wrong in my optimism and trying to convince Gary F of OLAS it could be "next level", he simply replied that he's done with it all as it will be horrible, after the first season at THE BOWL I couldn't hack it anymore.

fucks knows where I'd ahve put another 12yrs worth if I carried and the print was too small
I'd buy something like the old small programmes they should do them

Thanks to Jack1 I got a freebie at the Sheffield United. The last one I actually bought was the Bournemouth first league game at the LS.

Stopped over 30 years ago. Just bought OLAS for quite a while but stopped that when sites like this popped up.

The last Boleyn game, but before that, more than 10 years ago. used to buy one every game, but only ever read the manager's notes, so gave up.

Always buy one, to be honest. Can't remember the last time I read it, but always have one.
Also prone to buying bundles of old 'uns from the 60's/70's on Ebay, especially if I can find a full season of home games. Have had some right bargains on there over the past couple of years.

Used to buy every game in the 60s early 70s then bought the odd one now and again but what I did do, is buy every home game league, cups and Europe in the first season at the OS, I figured it would be worth a few bob down the road for my inheritors

Home v Chelsea in 2015. It was my boy's first game. Before then the 2006 Cup Final.
Used to buy one for every game I went to between 83 and about 92 but following the Bond Scheme fiasco I stopped reading the club stuff and just bought fanzines. Do fanzines still exist now?

Last two I bought and first ones for years were last game at U.P & first game at the Bowl.
I have a good collection, mostly pre 90s & some old rare ones too as far back as the 30s.
Stopped buying match day programs early 90s as prefered the fanzines.

Like a mug I stayed to the end of the match (mainly to beat the rush) the other night and there were various programmes scattered around me.
It didn't ever occur to me to pick one up and read it. I've no interest in reading the same old 'we've got to get some points on the board', 'get behind the lads' and 'the gaffer is telling us to play our way out of this difficult spell' old bollocks.
It tends to pall after the first several hundred times you read the same old shit.
